Carnivore is the 3rd full length record from Jonathan Hape. It has the sound of blood and things.

Carnivore was the immediate follow up to Herbivore (EP), a collection of songs written during the same period. A B-Sides compilation of music recorded before these sessions called Blood Demos is also available.

Columbus Alive gave it a good review here: www.columbusalive.com/content/stories/2009/06/10/ca_m_locals.html
Calling it a "massive step forward for one of the city's most ambitious musicians" and later named the album as the top pick for a local solo record.

Carnivore was recorded in an old office building turned music venue in beautiful downtown Mansfield OH during Sept and Oct of 2008. That winter, Nick Baker (Room & Board) and Adam Rowe (I Have No Issues With Darkness/Sissy) contributed a lot of material to the tracks as well as Steev Richter and Levi Christopher added voices and instruments to We Were The Sky.

Andrew Weichart (of The Fuss) started Paper Mache Records to fund the albums release in spring of 09.

Multiple tours with Clothing and Shoes, The La De Les, Analecta, and John Reuben would promote the record over the following few years and the album would become a favourite to Post Rock fans all across the midwest.

Color Wounds, the rumored follow up in it's shared tone and expansiveness, is still in the works.
